Our House! The Before Pictures

Well in the middle of all the wedding chaos, we bought a house! We were supposed to close on 10/17, but underwriting took longer than expected. We signed the final documents two days before we left for the honeymoon while our stuff was already loaded up on a moving truck. While we were at the happiest place on earth and cruising around the Caribbean, everything was being moved into our house. It was a strange feeling, but it was great to come home and have a home of our very own.

So, here it is! Kind of pixelated, but there you have it. All of these photos except this first one we took when we went to the house to make our final decision on if we were going to go for it...obviously before it became filled with all our boxes and furniture. The furniture in it in the pictures were miscellaneous pieces leftover from the previous owners, not ours.


Our house is located on a cul-de-sac and so far, we really like all our neighbors. The set-up of the house is a little different. To get to the front door, you have to go through a gate...

Which leads to our side yard/courtyard area, which has a HUGE tree we love. Our front door is back and to the right.

Part of the backyard (It keeps going around the corner)...a good amount of grass for the dogs, but not too much for us to take care of. The dogs LOVE all the space!

Walking from the backyard to the front door (off to the left) and the gate is further down the sidewalk. We have 10 or 11 palm trees total I believe between the back, side and front yards.
The living room area w/ a window to the right looking out into the bonus room. We now have our entertainment center against that blank wall and our other furniture in place. The floor is marble tile.

End of the bonus room. Brady's dad installed a nice big doggie door for us in that corner, which has been WONDERFUL.

Our kitchen...black granite countertops, a pantry off to the left. Behind the kitchen we have a room that could be a dining room or formal living room. We're currently using it for storage, but will be painting it hopefully soon, along with the kitchen and hanging up all our hockey jerseys and things in here. We'd love to get a pool table in here.

Master bedroom before. It's much bigger than it looks in pictures. The window has shelf ledges. This room is now BLUE. Once we get it all set up and things up on the walls, we'll do a before/after photo blog.
