Home sweet home

So I haven't been a very good blogger lately. I have a before and after photo blog of all of our redecoration in the house all typed up, but I have yet to take the photos to accompany it, which is sort of the point :) We've been really busy with projects in the house and this weekend was no exception. Today we got a coat of paint on our last unpainted rooms. Because of living in apartments for years with white walls I wasn't allowed to paint, I couldn't wait to customize our house. After much consideration and hours upon hours of painting, I have to say: I'm over it. Painting, that is. I love all the colors and how each room has its own personality, but the masking tape, the sore arms, the bumpy wall texture...good grief.Today I worked on the upstairs bonus room and Brady painted the upstairs guest bath. It's pretty surreal that it was about 5 months ago that we moved in and started these projects and now these are the last two rooms to be painted in the whole house. We really have made a lot of progress.

We're happy to report that our so-called sports room now is more than just an empty room with jerseys on the wall. Brady, Craig's List extraordinaire, found us a great deal on a professional air hockey table and yesterday, with the help of Brady's dad and Drew, the table was safely transported to our house. The guys were able to get it all wired up and we were even able to have our very first tournament with Drew. Now all day Brady was teasing me that I was going to lose and I heard my fair share of smack talk. 

In the end, Brady and Drew both lost to a girl :) Thank you, thank you very much.

This is set to be a pretty busy week. Philip is coming into town this week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, so he'll be staying with us. My mom is coming to stay with us on Friday so we can have a "Momma and me" day on Saturday. Tomorrow night is more painting, cleaning. Same for Tuesday. I'll try to get some photos taken of the progress we've been making on the house and get those posted this week! I still have to do a post about Brady's 25th birthday celebration :)
