Basketball, more basketball, and hockey...oh my!

Over the past couple of weeks, we've gone to 3 sporting events, specifically the WNBA Finals, when the Mercury brought home the Championship, a Suns preseason game, and the Coyotes home opener White-Out.

The Mercury game was one of the most energized games I've been to. It was, to put it lightly, LOUD. This was due in part to them handing out blow-up noisemakers. Our fe
llow fans in the row in front of us took this very seriously. (Kaelyn definitely responded to the noise...she was swirling around throughout the whole game.) Anyways, it was really exciting and came down to the last couple minutes.
Sitting in our seats (I'm not sure why my hair looks so short...hmm.)

Mercury WIN! (Note the aforementioned blow-up noisemakers in the background)

The next game we went to (if we go in order) was the Coyotes White-Out. The game itself was disappointing and the Coyotes lost, but fortunately, overall they're having a really great season so far. Hopefully the trend continues! The White-Out was the first game I'd actually gone to with Philip, Wing-Nut Extraordinaire. Seriously. You should see his apartment. Anyways, Brady and I always wear our Avs jerseys and Philip always wears his Wings jersey, bling-bling, lucky rabbit foot, etc. Seeing as this is one of the biggest rivalries in hockey, we definitely got some looks...and a heavily intoxicated fan decided to heckle Philip whenever we walked by. Intoxicated or not, he evidently has good taste in hockey teams ;)
Philip with his free pom-pom, either really concentrating on the game...or wondering what happened to all the Pack Dancers.
Philip's outnumbered!

Last, but not least, we finally got together with Spencer, a practically lifelong friend of Brady's, and his fiance Jessica and went to a preseason Suns game. We got the tickets for about $6/person plus shipping so not too bad. It was great to hang out with them and the Suns kicked some major Kings butt, something like 147 to 120.

We also took the light rail for the first time! We got to ride for free with our Suns tickets and we saved on parking so win/win! We parked down by Central and Camelback and took the light rail the rest of the way. We'll definitely be taking it again, especially considering most sporting event parking is something ridiculous like $15.
Waiting for the light rail on our way home
