32 weeks!

I'll start off by saying how quickly these weekly surveys seem to be coming up. Good grief!

**I'll try to remember to have Brady take a picture tonight, but I'm planning to make a quick switch to comfy jammies and then veg for the rest of the night fighting off whatever this head cold/congestion is**

What's going on with Kaelyn:

Ready or not, baby's getting ready to emerge. She's probably in the head-down position by now, with her bottom facing up. This is the comfiest way for her body to fit in your increasingly cramped womb and will make her eventual exit (only a few months away now!) much easier. (If she's still head-up, don't panic -- there's still time for a flip before birth.)

My new doctor thinks she is, in fact, head down. They do a routine ultrasound at 36 weeks to estimate growth and to check this.

How far along? 32 weeks

How big is baby? New size comparisons coming next week, but the update this week compares her to a large jicama. She's about 17 inches, head to heel, and about 4 pounds. (And measuring right on track!)

Sleep: I have a hard time getting comfortable (particularly w/ this back pain the past few days). Then I can't fall asleep. Then I have to pee. Rinse, repeat. Those are my nights. I have taken to dozing off on the couch.

Best moment this week: Finding a new doctor I love and watching Kaelyn move my belly a lot more than she has been able to previously.

Movement: Oh yes. She's a strong little booger and she's discovered my rib cage.

Food cravings: Meat. Do not leave your cheeseburger, gyro, or sub sandwich unattended anywhere near me. I will eat it and blame the dog.

Belly Button in or out? Innie, but it really wants to be an outie.

What I miss: Sleep. Comfortable, uninterrupted sleep without multiple bathroom breaks, an inability to fall and stay asleep, back pain, and heartburn. I miss it so. (Fairly) clear skin. Being able to take Aleve for pain.

What I am looking forward to: my prenatal massage on Saturday. I need it so, so badly. Also the baby shower, which is next weekend already!

Milestones: Changed doctors, passed the 3 hour glucose test, and starting to get uncomfortable (not a fan of the last one).

Weekly Wisdom: The to-do list goes thru a transformation later on in pregnancy when the thought of a date day/night or simply a day to relax outweighs the need to wash all the window screens (again). Eliminate the things that don't really need to be done. (I admittedly still have some of those, but it's a little less overwhelming at least)
