7 month update

Okay, so I'm running behind with posting--it's been a rough couple of weeks with Little. First it was diaper rash, then the start of an eye infection, then a cold, now GI issues and a stomach bug. Poor baby. I've also been sick on and off so nobody's been getting too great of sleep in the Travis household lately.

Her last "official" appointment was the 6 month checkup and she doesn't go back until she's 9 months so we won't have those stats, but here's what she's been up to:

-As of the last pediatrician visit, she's about 20 pounds, 10 ounces. Yep, big Little!

-She's totally able to sit on her own and she's pretty sturdy.

-She crawls backwards and spins...quickly. You can practically see the wheels turning trying to figure out how to crawl forward.

-She can go from laying down to sitting up. Sometimes she'll also get herself on all fours and stick her little fanny up in the air.

-She's starting to pull herself up to stand.

-Clothing sizes definitely vary. Her PJs are 9 months, most of her other outfits are 12 months. Gerber onesies run particularly tiny. She's in their 18 month size.

-She typically has 2-3 solid "meals" a day. She's tried bananas, apples, avocado, prunes, peas, sweet potatoes, and we're starting green beans today.

-Hair is still an obsession. It probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to pull a Sinead O'Connor as Brady had suggested.

-Sleep is hard to evaluate right now because she's been sick. Her naps still vary big time, but the majority of the time, she takes a shorter morning nap, and a long afternoon nap. Usually she'll doze off in the evening as well before her last bottle. She's up by 6-6:30, sometimes 5.

-She loves story time, especially the touch and feel type books. She likes to turn (and sometimes completely destroy the pages), but most of the time, she likes to watch me say the words, which is so adorable.

-Kaelyn's definitely not lacking personality. Sometimes she'll be completely laid back, but she knows what she likes and knows what she doesn't. She has a stubborn streak (I have no idea where she gets it...no idea at all...), but she really is such a happy baby the majority of the time. Even when she feels crummy, she still smiles and puts on a happy face.
