Travis Family Reunion! (Little camera photos)

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed to San Antonio for a Travis family reunion. It was Kaelyn's first flight and my first time being surrounded by soo many Travis's...so momentous all the way around.

I'm going to divide the trip into 2 posts--one with pics from the "little" camera and one from the big SLR camera simply because I haven't been able to snag the photo files from the SLR yet.

Friday

Our flight was at 1 so everybody met at our house and we had a caravan from there to the airport. Brady and Ryan were in charge of parking the cars so the rest of us waited in the terminal. Kaelyn took Grandpa on a walk around the ticketing level until Brady came back!
Blurry, but awww...
We grabbed some lunch at Fox Sports Grill and then we got to scare the other passengers waiting to board our flight. One 15-month-old and one 4-month-old is a scary thought for anyone not traveling with children. Alright, I was a little scared myself. Kaelyn was really excited about being on the plane, loved looking out the window and attacking the heads of Grandpa and Aunt Marissa, who were in the row ahead of us. I should mention she hadn't had a nap yet that day (but was practically falling asleep in line to board) so once she realized she wouldn't be allowed to run free, she got very upset. And squirmy. And cranky. Then, finally...she slept. It was a blissful rest of the flight. She looks a little scared here, but this was right after landing I believe so I don't blame her.
She did really well when we were waiting for the rental cars in San Antonio, too. We took turns pacing the baggage claim area with her. (Okay, these are all pretty blurry--I don't think the camera likes me zooming in quite so much)

"This way, Grandpa!"

Grandma's turn!
We made our way to the timeshare, dropped our bags, and headed to John and Theresa's house to say hi to all the family already in town. We had a very yummy dinner with everyone, went on the swingset in the backyard, and chased the kids around mostly :) It ended up being a pretty late night, but all things considered, the kiddos seemed to do pretty well sleeping-wise. Kaelyn slept through the night every night, which was awesome, but naps were a little more of a challenge.
On Saturday morning, we headed to Morgan's Wonderland, which was awesome. We wish there was a place like it in Phoenix--we'd get annual passes for sure. It's meant to be accessible to all kids and it sure was. Kaelyn rode the carousel twice, got to drive a Jeep, and there were lots of sensory and playground areas. Most of the photos for here are on the SLR camera, but here are a couple cute ones of Grandpa with Kaelyn and Connor when we were taking a breather.

In the afternoon/evening, we sweated it out for group photos and then promptly went swimming. (SLR)

Saturday night, we decided to head downtown to the Riverwalk, which was a really cool place (once we found a parking spot, which was tough). It kind of reminds me of the area around Pirates at Disneyland mixed w/ a little Vegas. Anyway, being a holiday weekend, it was pretty packed, but we were able to take the boat ride, which was a lot of fun. Kaelyn was getting restless...can you tell?

No, I didn't forget to rotate. Kaelyn kept flinging herself back to look at Brady and Grandpa!

Jumping ahead to Monday--we went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel with all the Arizona & Oklahoma Travis's for Brady's parent's anniversary :) When we were leaving, Kaelyn and Connor were interested in the children's rocking chairs they have out front (I've mentioned Kaelyn's mild obsession with rocking chairs, right?) so after Kaelyn had a turn w/ her baby doll, we squeezed them on one together!

Grandma & Grandpa with the 4 grandkids...yeah, Kaelyn was Miss Crankster and wouldn't let the binkie go. (No surprise, she fell asleep in the car a few minutes later.) How cute are Catherine and Kaelyn in their almost matching shirts?

We flew back to Arizona Monday afternoon and had a peaceful flight back--we got bulkhead (Yeah!) and Kaelyn fell asleep not too long after boarding and woke up just before our final descent. I think the guy in the aisle seat was relieved. Nice guy, but he kind of had a look of terror when we boarded, haha

I'll hopefully be back with the rest of the photos from the other camera in the next few days--we got some good ones at the zoo on Sunday that I'm excited to see!
