Around the world...on a segway!

Well, the "world" at Epcot anyways :) We're starting off our honeymoon Disney day doing a Segway tour of Epcot. Brady's brother Adam and sister-in-law Michelle did the tour a couple years back and had a great time and then his parents did the tour at Disneyland earlier this year. Both highly recommend it so we've signed up to try it ourselves. Now, I won't lie. I'm not one with rollerblades, roller skates, skateboards, ice skates, anything that requires a tremendous amount of balance. Even my last bicycle experience ended with the brakes going out while I was going downhill and I wound up flying over the handlebars and landing in the neighbor's graveled yard.

When I was 16, I was lucky enough to go to Bermuda with my mom and stepdad. We planned to rent two mo-peds. One for them, one for me. They had a course set up for training to be sure they weren't sending tourists out on the roads without properly assessing their moped driving competence. For some reason I had a terrible time using the brakes on the handlebars and kept putting my flip-flopped feet down on the pavement to slow down and stop. This doesn't work when there's actual horsepower involved and I nearly crashed into the training course walls. Needless to say, I ended up on the back of Russ's moped, feeling like I was in Return of the Jedi (I think that's the right one) flying through the forest with the Ewoks.

So the Segway tour should be very interesting...and entertaining for other riders. Look for photos after the honeymoon! I think we'll look super spiffy in our helmets...

The only problem is our bride and groom Mickey and Minnie hats that we're thinking of buying won't fit on the helmets ;)
