A Weekend w/ P-Dog and a Disney trip in our future!

Philip drove in from New Mexico on Friday to stay with us and check out some potential apartments. Once we got home from work on Friday night, we headed off to Dave & Busters for dinner and some games, which is always a blast.

We got an early start on Saturday and headed off to take a look at some apartments I had researched for him online. Even though we tried to avoid the hottest part of the day, it was still very hot walking apartment complexes. Any Good Morning, Vietnam fans? Yeah, that hot. It was worth it though. Yesterday, Philip put down his deposit/move-in costs on a "luxury" rental down the street from us, literally a minute or two down the road. It's a great location and it's a quick 20 minute drive to his law school. The complex is all individually-owned condos so it's maintained by an HOA and they have a property management company to rent them out. 24 hour pool and spa with cabanas, a 24-hour gym, and a rather chic looking lounge and game room. Philip's already offered me a key for the amenities...score! We think he'll be very happy there. We know we will! ;)

So after we looked at about 6 or so places, it was definitely lunchtime so we headed to Uncle Sam's, which has really delicious sandwiches. Thanks to our Entertainment Book, we got 2 for 1 Baker's dozen wings as a starter. Yummm. From there, we stopped off at home to check on the pups and feed them, then we went bowling. We played 9 games (3 each) for 99 cents. There was also a birthday party going on so they had cosmic bowling, which was fun. We're not about to make any bowling leagues, but we did fairly well for amateurs. After that, we decided to head back to Dave 'n Busters, which we never seem to tire of. Then we went for our double feature and saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and The Hangover. We thoroughly enjoyed both, but didn't get out of the movies until after midnight.

Sunday, we just ran some errands with Philip--went to a couple of furniture stores, picked up some dog food, and had some lunch at Blue Agave at Scottsdale 101. We went back home and had a movie marathon and some yummy burgers on the new grill.

So for my upcoming birthday, we've decided to take a trip to Disneyland and San Diego (note the festive Stitch ticker above)! Lucky for us, Sherry and Jason both have that Friday off so they're going to meet us in Anaheim on Thursday night and we're going to do a full-day at Disneyland on Friday, starting with a Segway tour of California Adventure. Saturday, we're going to drive down to San Diego and stay with them for the weekend. We're really excited, it'll be so much fun!
