15 Weeks!

What's Happening with Peanut: Your baby's skin is very thin right now -- blood vessels can actually be seen underneath it. It's covered with a fine, fuzzy hair called lanugo, which will not fall out until your baby nears full-term. You'll have to treat that soft skin delicately when your little one is born, but slathering him or her with baby lotion is surely more a pleasure than a chore!

Continuing the march toward normal proportions, baby's legs now out-measure his arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably can't feel the movements just yet.

How far along? 15 weeks **we'll try to remember to take a photo tonight and add to post later**
How big is baby? About the size of a naval orange. (I had a choice between two fruit comparisons from the websites I get weekly updates--the other was an apple!) For the record, I used to love oranges and OJ. Peanut, apparently, does not feel the same way about citrus.
Maternity clothes? I found a pair of jeans, but I really would need suspenders to keep them up at the moment because of the panel. I'm still on the lookout for a deal on a pair of Gap jeans since the inseam is actually long enough for me. I also found a cute maternity shirt that should last me well into the pregnancy.
Sleep: Still having a lot of dreams, still having to get up to pee, and it's hard to get and stay comfortable most nights. I have a body pillow, but I'm wondering if a pregnancy pillow would be better. Most days, a nap is required for me to be able to function.
Best moment this week: The 3-day weekend! I got to sleep in until 9 (actually on and off between 7 and 9 because bright-eyed, bushy-tailed Budaj wants momma out of bed as early as possible), but not being up and about allowed for the typically worst part of my morning to pass. It certainly makes a difference during the week getting up earlier. Ugh.
Movement: Considering my poor belly feels like it's severely bruised, I have no doubt Peanut is kicking and continuing to be really active. Haven't felt anything yet, but with the way Peanut must be testing his/her boundaries, I sort of feel like Stretch Armstrong.

Food cravings: I'm sticking with melted cheese (included heavily processed, probably not even cheese queso dip) and mashed potatoes. My aversions are changing. I actually felt like breakfast-type food this weekend, which is new for me (at least for the past couple of months). For the record, the cliche craving of pickles does not apply here. I used to like pickles, now they taste awful to me.
Gender: So far on the poll, it seems to be leaning girl. I've done some of those silly gender predictors online and the majority also say girl. This probably means we're having a boy ;) We could possibly find out on Monday!
Belly Button in or out? Innie and shallow
What I miss: I miss my energy the most. I'd love to not feel nauseous randomly throughout the day, but it's frustrating to suddenly feel completely zonked after accomplishing very little. I think if I had some energy back, my mind might operate more effectively, thus providing me with some of the brain cells I've been missing lately too.
What I am looking forward to: Disneyland! Not really baby-related, but I'm soo excited! Also, spending time w/ Sherry and Jason and seeing the ocean. We also get to see Peanut again on Monday!
