23 weeks! (a day late)

**Slacking again on belly pics**

What's going on with Kaelyn:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

Your baby is now about 20 centimeters long. His or her lungs have begun to develop surfactant, a substance that will help them expand following birth.

How far along? 23 weeks

How big is baby? About the size of a large mango--just over a pound and 11 inches long. (The other 2 sites will change size comparisons at 25 weeks)

Sleep: Best on the weekends when I can sleep in until 8:30-9. Having a lot of dreams and I wake up randomly throughout the night so I could definitely use some more sleep!

Best moment this week: Starting to work on some artwork for the nursery and finding the most comfortable maternity pants in the world.

Movement: It's a lot more consistent throughout the day feeling those little thumps and I'm starting to feel her from the outside. It's such an amazing feeling. Of course, little girl is stubborn and stops as soon as I have Brady put his hand on my stomach to feel it.

Food cravings: OJ and ice cream. No, not mixed together.

Gender: Girl!

Belly Button in or out? In and shallow

What I miss: Hmm. My memory? I'm doing better keeping track of things, but if I don't write something down the second I think of it, I can't remember it. Also, not getting winded so easily.

What I am looking forward to: Working more on the nursery art, getting out Christmas decorations in the next couple of weeks, and getting more things checked off the to-do list.

Milestones: I got my H1N1 vaccine after debating about it for a couple of months. I've been able to feel little one from the outside so she's definitely getting bigger and stronger and we also scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound...::points to ticker at upper right:: Yeah, I'm excited :)

Weekly Wisdom: Nap.
