26 weeks!

What's going on with Kaelyn:

Your baby may be very active between weeks 24 and 28, when his small size and the ample amniotic fluid by which he's surrounded allow for freedom of movement. You may feel him or her jump in response to loud sounds or settle at the sound of your voice. Studies indicate that your baby can respond to touch too, so see what happens when you and your partner put your hands on your belly.

How far along? 26 weeks

How big is baby? Just one new size comparison for this week. She's as tall as an English hothouse cucumber. About 14 inches, head to heel and about 2 pounds.

Sleep: I'll take as much as I can get. Quality sleep is pretty much a distant memory.

Best moment this week: Though I wasn't letting myself worry, getting confirmation that everything looks a-okay with her heart was a relief. I got the outside area cleaned up so we can enjoy it! (I should write a separate blog about how the shop vac is my new BFF.) We had a productive weekend, mixed with getting to some nights out, which was nice.

Movement: Yep and her schedule is getting more predictable. She's definitely responding to noises. During the "defense" chant at the Suns game, she kicked in time to a couple of the beats. On Monday night, she broke her normal schedule to stay up until the end of the Avs game. After they won, she promptly fell asleep. Coincidence? I think not ;) It seems like she's responding to our voices more too. This week I've also started to differentiate what I think is a hand versus a foot.

Food cravings: I wouldn't call it a craving, but I can hardly wait for green bean casserole. I would eat it as its own separate meal.

Belly Button in or out? Stubbornly in. Oh and I got my first (and second): "Now it's not twins, right? It's just one baby in there?" ::side eye::

What I miss: Not getting winded so easily. Though after Brady and I checked out the diagram at the doctor's office, it makes sense. You wouldn't believe what's all smushed up in my rib cage.

What I am looking forward to: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, more Thanksgiving celebrations, etc.

Milestones: FMLA paperwork complete and filed! We also had our hospital tour on Monday, which was fun because we know we'll be back there in a few months and we know we'll be in good hands. Oh and we also bought our diaper bag! We found a fantastic deal online on a Skip Hop Duo Deluxe, which came highly recommended from our sister-in-law Michelle :)

Weekly Wisdom: In all the chaotic planning and to-dos, schedule some quiet time. Just the act of scheduling it made me feel calmer.
