A Day at the Aquarium

Sea Life Aquarium recently opened over at Arizona Mills and we decided to check it out since I get (almost) 1/2 price tickets through work. Here are some photos from our time there:

Kaelyn: "Oooh, what's that?"
She loved this tank. There were just starfish in it, but there was a simulated wave. She liked the sloshing water (surprise, surprise) and started kicking her feet and chattering at it.
This was in an upcoming exhibit room. There were tanks lining this round room with some fish swimming all around. Kids thought it was a hoot that they could be a part of the exhibit--they have a lot of these through the rest of the aquarium, too. Little just happened to smile right as I took the photo :)
At the stingray tank--probably my favorite part.

After the aquarium, we finished a loop around the mall and stopped off in Rainforest Cafe. I think this hat suits Little, don't you?
She was sooo happy in this store. We were looking at the tanks with the "Nascar" fish (you know--"Left. Left. Left."), but specifically Dory, who was appropriately swimming against traffic and Kaelyn started giggling. So we danced. She giggled some more. Brady and I got downright goofy and she giggled even more. Ah, what a sweet little girl.

Then we got to the car and she passed out. A little while later, I did too. We've had a few rough nights with her. Perhaps the start of teething?

We had a good time, but our review of the aquarium is that it's a bit crowded, though we did go on a Saturday. Also, for the regular tickets, it's kind of pricey for what you get. Our advice? Get a deal on tickets, go on a weekday, and don't bring the stroller. (It's a winding, somewhat narrow path in areas and it's hard to maneuver through it.) I prefer the aquarium part at Wildlife World Zoo personally, even if it is quite a drive. There you get to pet the sting rays, at least.
