Her stats:
Height-29.5 inches (96%)
Weight-22.8 lbs (94%)
Head Circum.-46.5 cm (97%)
Right now, Kaelyn:
-wears mainly 12 month sizes, but 18 month size pjs because of length, and 18 month+ bottoms (because of her fluffy diaper)
-sleeps through the night most nights. Sometimes she wakes up in the early morning hours to have a bottle. Usually she's asleep by 8-8:30, but on occasion she wakes up at 10:30-11ish bright-eyed and ready to play. Recently, she's been doing well. She might wake up a little while after we go to bed, but then she's asleep the rest of the night...she'll sleep in a little too, which is wonderful on the weekend! She slept until 8:30-9 one day--it was AMAZING.
-LOVES solids. She's tried a vast array of fruits and veggies--this month she tried chicken (note: pureed chicken resembles glue paste), different types of squash, eggplant, mango, papaya, graham crackers, puffs, yogurt...we're also doing more combination "meals" to get all/most food groups in each. We started giving her fruit chunks that we've frozen (served in a Munchkin safe feeder), which she absolutely can't get enough of. She gets fruit and it helps with her with teething--win/win!
-is getting faaast. Blink and she's across the room.
-is standing and now knows how to slowly lower herself down to sit.
-claps with us! Also, if we cheer her on, she'll start. Just last week, she also learned how to wave. (Cute!!)
-has really improved her fine motor skills--I watch her play in awe sometimes and say "When did you learn how to do that?!"
-is losing interest in her binkies, which we're kind of happy about. The only time she really wants it anymore is when she's trying to fall asleep, but she'll spit it out soon after.
-has her two front lower teeth and has been working on more for awhile now. Dr. Barcellona says the front top two should be in within a couple of weeks. Yeah, no wonder she can be such a cranky girl--I don't blame her!
-is getting ticklish!
-is a total daredevil. She has no fear.
-still loves her baths, though she's taken to standing mid-bath to get a hug or to explore.
-is a social butterfly. She takes her time to figure out people and is more reserved with her smiles around people she doesn't know though.
-enjoys clobbering the dogs and having us plop her on their backs for a ride. They are far less amused, but continue to be her protectors. I suspect they know she will be very important in their quest for table scraps.
-"talks" a lot still and I swear she's said "Daddy," but nothing for certain. I do tease her when she does a certain babble that she's saying "IKEA" and she finds that hilArious. Most of the time, it's "dada dada dada dada" mixed with different "ush" sounds.
I'll add some photos at home, but don't have any recent ones on this computer! Just wanted to get this posted!
