On Christmas Eve, we went to church with our Little all decked out in her pretty "party" dress. Hmm. We don't seem to have taken a photo. I'll have to put her back in it this weekend to document it properly. It was darling and Christmasey and after a yummy Italian dinner out, she passed out within a minute of getting in her car seat. She didn't want to wake up when we got home so she went to bed in her dress and tights. (Until she woke up around 4am Christmas morning, at least.)
So when we put Kaelyn to bed, Brady got all set to head out again for Midnight Mass with the Kastners, which he's gone to since I met him and before. It's clear on the other side of the Valley though so it was going to be a laaaate night for him. While he got set to go, I settled in with Christmas movies on tv and some last minute wrapping for presents that just got delivered that day.
Our main tree. (I think the other one will take over next year as the lights on this one aren't very reliable anymore.) You don't think we over-did it, do you?
Stockings...we ordered Kaelyn's off Etsy and ours we've had since we were little. I love hers--it's bright and festive and the colors aren't typical stocking colors. Also, can't forget the doggies, although I might give Budaj the Avalanche one we have next year. Oh and Brady's stocking is really narrow and it's difficult to fit stuff in it--thus the awkward positioning.
Fridge full of adorable faces :) We received more Christmas cards, but we ran out of magnets!
A few of our many new ornaments. The one w/ the black and white photo of Kaelyn was actually meant to be a photo holder or a holder for a footprint. Well, Kaelyn's footprint is a little big and covered up the words on it so I opted for the photo. It says: "The first steps a baby takes are into your heart." I thought it was perfect because she's really working on standing and walking right now. The penguin was just cute and I felt compelled to rescue him from the picked over ornament selection. Castle because it's probably our favorite show. The Starbucks cup one is appropriate because Brady got me a Mr. Coffee Frappe Maker last year and rarely a day goes by that I don't use it at least once (he also got me the full-size version of the cups). The pink one is Baby's 1st Christmas with Kaelyn's photo and "Little Kaelyn" printed on it.
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I'll try to get the next post up tomorrow or Friday!
