Our new hangout

The weather this time of year in Arizona is wonderful and really makes me want to spend some quality time outdoors. Last week, Kaelyn and I checked out a cool park I spotted on my way back from running errands at lunch one day. It'll be really great as she gets older--it has two jungle gyms (one for the younger kiddos, and one for ages 5-12) plus lots of swings, walking paths, fields to run around. Plus I'm told there are horses just down the road and that the owner of the ranch doesn't mind people stopping by to see them. Here are a few photos from that excursion:

She wasn't too enthused about the bucket swings since the sun was in her eyes, but later I had her ride with me on the big swing, which she loves. On the bouncy tractor

On the smaller jungle gym, they have a dinosaur wall. Each piece spins with one side having a picture of a dinosaur and the other side with the name, pronunciation and what their name means. She loved it and was standing there for a while spinning the dinosaurs. She was grinning so much when I would pronounce the names for her. Hmm. Maybe she'll be a dinosaur girl like her Momma.

Something we get told all the time is what a HAPPY baby Kaelyn is. I'm not sure what they're talking about ;)

I took her down a few slides while we were there, too. We were the only ones on the playground so we ventured to the big kid jungle gym to practice the moves we learned at The Little Gym on the bars and we also went down the BIG slide. What I didn't realize was that the slides were all WET with condensation. Oh and it was also kind of chilly that morning. Yeeeah, I was a bit more alert after that swift ride down the slide.

Yesterday we headed back to the park, Brady and I both armed with our big cameras, which was probably a funny sight. We took turns trying to get Kaelyn (who had only taken a brief nap that day) to smile...and to not eat the grass, bark, mystery dirt and tree remnants. Brady's in the editing phase, but here are a few of mine :)

If you look very closely at that last photo you'll see her front top two teeth starting to poke through. Those little buggers would be the reason that none of us have gotten the greatest sleep lately.
