A while back, Groupon had a deal for 3 classes at The Little Gym. Well, that had Kaelyn's [nick]name all over it. Last Saturday was our first class, which both Brady and I attended and then on Tuesday morning, I took Kaelyn to the second. I think we'll go to the third this Saturday or next.
Kaelyn is in the "Birds" class, which is for ages 10 months to 19 months. Most of the kiddos are about 15 months at least so they're all walking, while our little peanut isn't quite to that point yet. (Although she's a champion at doing the "wheelbarrow!") It's a little chaotic as attention spans are short, but she loved the group activities and had a smile plastered on her face the whole time. They teach signs, sing, do a lot of sensory activities, muscle strengthening, and things to better coordination. Here are some pics Brady took on Saturday...
Starting our first attempt of the wheelbarrow. By Tuesday, Kaelyn was trucking across the mat like a pro!

Group activity...they had us sit on an inflatable mat that was deflated (basically a bouncy house without the house part--it just had bumper sides), then they inflated it and had the little ones climb, jump, and play around on it.

She likes tunnels (still on the bouncy mat)

About to climb through the "stargate," as Brady called it.

Balance beam crawl...this is a summer Olympic event, yes?

Another skill of the week--holding onto the bar, working on grip, arm strength, etc.

We're enjoying the classes, but want to try some of the other places that offer similar programs--any recommendations? We're also going to get our little water girl into some swim classes sometime soon!
