Waiting for class to start.
Doing "glides"--we moved along the length of our section of the pool with the kiddos on their bellies practicing kicking and here, we had them on their backs. Kaelyn definitely preferred this position during the first class.
For "passes," I hand Kaelyn off to the instructor with her head fully above the water, then we do halfway under, then all the way under.
We're signed up for one more class and then we'll decide about extending another month or so. During the summer, it'll be easier to work with her in regular outdoor pools. She's made a lot of improvement in just 3 classes though. In last Saturday's class, I was so excited when Kaelyn pulled herself up on the side of the pool--she also is figuring out blowing bubbles. We think she got a lot of her motivation from the presence of one of the guy instructors who was standing up on the deck. She was flirting like crazy--hilArious :)
