GREAT news! Late last week, I had contacted a college that has a medical sonography program to see if they are needing volunteers for OB ultrasounds. I had heard of a few people getting extra ultrasounds this way so I thought I'd give it a try. The program director, who was so nice, called me back and let me know that they definitely are. She's scheduling appointments for about the next month specifically for OB and fortunately, they're all evening appointments so we don't have to take extra time off work. Each appointment is about an hour and they print lots of photos that we can take home. Even better is that they'll tell us the gender once I'm far enough along (typically 15 weeks)...and it's free!
Our first appointment is this coming Monday. It'll be a big day since I have my OB appointment that morning. The second appointment will be Monday, September 14th, at which point I'll be almost 16 weeks and they should be able to tell us what we're having! We're sooo excited. We're not having an NT scan, which would have meant another ultrasound so it's nice to get to see Peanut again to see how s/he is growing.
I've posted our poll to the right so feel free to take a guess at whether you think Peanut is a boy or a girl! Voting ends on September 14th, the day we'll hopefully find out.
