22 weeks!

What's going on with Kaelyn: Real estate within your belly is getting tight, with growing baby leaving little room for your lungs to...well...breathe. Expect the huffing and puffing to start soon. There's not much room for your belly button, either -- it'll pop out any day now.

(My estimate is by 28 weeks it'll be completely flat at least)

Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop. (She's most active in the evening, like 5-9pm and sometimes in the mornings. I'm starting to feel her more consistently throughout the day though.)

Your baby now weighs nearly one pound! He or she has eyelids and eyebrows and has developed fat, which helps keep the body warm.

How far along? 22 weeks

How big is baby? About the size of a spaghetti squash (approx. 11 inches long and nearly a pound!) The guy-comparison and the other site I use now use monthly comparisons instead of weekly. The other fruit comparison is a papaya and the guy-friendly comparison is an over-inflated football.

Sleep: I don't really feel well-rested, even if I supposedly slept almost 8 hours. I'm having a lot of dreams and I wake up several times a night. Napping sounds wonderful, but I get caught up in productive nesting mode and decide against a nap.

Best moment this week: A tie between the prenatal massage and chocolate souffle :) We had definitely had a wonderful anniversary.

Movement: Mainly late in the day, but she'll act up sometimes in the morning on the way to work.

Food cravings: Nothing specific this week really. Cereal? Speaking of which, we need to buy more.

Gender: Girl! Confirmed x3.

Belly Button in or out? In. My weekly update says it'll pop any day and it's definitely getting more shallow.

What I miss: Large amounts of caffeine. I need it.

What I am looking forward to: Getting on more of a schedule for getting things done before Kaelyn makes her arrival, getting more done in the nursery.

Milestones: Completed the anatomy scan and had my first prenatal massage.

Weekly Wisdom: Pretending to be on vacation for a day with the hubs is a wonderful thing. I highly recommend it.

  2. I know I'm slow in responding :) Funny you should ask. Yesterday morning, I was listening to Garth Brooks and she was moving around a lot. Must be the twang.
