What's going on with Kaelyn:
Your full-term (yay!) baby is gaining about 1/2 ounce a day and getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready. He's also brushing up on skills for the outside world: blinking, sucking, inhaling, exhaling, and gripping (it's getting strong!).
Sleep: Oh I miss it so. Getting sick at 37 weeks isn't fun at all.
Best moment this week: Seeing Kaelyn's chubby cheeks. Spending all day Sunday w/ Brady.
Movement: Babies are supposed to slow down at this point, right? Yeah, not so much with our little girl. Mainly her movements are to roll from side to side or stick her butt out, but she'll get some jabs and kicks in there too.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular, but I will not turn down a burger.
Belly Button in or out? It's getting closer to popping out. Brady seconds my turkey thermometer theory.
What I miss: being able to breathe through my nose. Sleeping comfortably.
What I am looking forward to: work shower today. I'm hoping very much to feel better in time to get some good relaxation time and rest before Kaelyn decides to make her appearance.
Milestones: Full-term! Also, at my appointment last week, my doctor called me a show-off since I had made progress already. That, of course, doesn't mean a whole lot, but it's good to know I'm "ahead of the game," as she put it. Oh and I really don't care about the to-do list anymore. I'd rather watch a movie or just relax with Brady.
Weekly Wisdom: Bending down is highly-overrated. As is walking long distances since that just requires more trips to the restroom. Rest. Rest. Rest.
almost....
